The latest version of UNIVAC (version 1.8) released on 9th May 2024 includes the following updates:
A 'perspectives helper sheet' has been added to help national teams better define the perspective/s of the analysis.
New default data for rotavirus disease treatment costs (now updated to reflect the year 2022).
New default data for the effectiveness of 1 dose of rotavirus vaccination compared to 2/3 doses based on a new meta-analysis of case control studies (see appendix to Clark et al, IJID 2023)
UNIVAC (version 1.7) released on 31st January 2023 included the following updates:
Disease mortality trend inputs were expanded to the year 2100 using the latest trends in under-five mortality published by the United Nations World Population Prospects (UNWPP 2022 revision) estimates. These trends are relevant if the user chooses to apply a counterfactual disease mortality trend (in the absence of vaccination) and can be overridden by the national team if required.
UNIVAC (version 1.6) released on 21st December 2022 included the following updates:
Demography updated to the latest United Nations World Population Prospects (UNWPP 2022 revision) estimates;
New default input data added for respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) disease in LMICs;
New option to evaluate the impact and cost-effectiveness of maternal RSV vaccination to protect newborns;
New option to evaluate the impact and cost-effectiveness of a long-lasting monoclonal RSV antibody given shortly after birth;
Added option to use 'live births' when calculating programme costs for birth interventions;
Updated rotavirus mortality estimates to reflect new GBD2019 data and updated MCEE 2006-2019 estimates of all-cause diarrhoea mortality;
Updated vaccine coverage estimates to reflect most recent WHO/UNICEF joint estimates (updated 15th July 2022); and,
Updated country income status to reflect World Bank 2022-23 estimates (as of 1st July 2022).
