Superintendent Elton Oliver, Sr. is a kind, God-fearing man who is not afraid to speak as "thus saith the Lord." He gave his life to Christ, receiving salvation at age 15, and three years later accepted God's call to be a servant in ministry. His faithfulness, obedience, and genuine servitude led to his ordination as a minister. He was later ordained by Bishop C.D. Kinsey as an elder in the Church of God in Christ (COGIC). Over the years, Elder Oliver continued to serve God with a meek and humble spirit. In 1985, he was installed as the pastor of Unity Tabernacle COGIC, located in Zuber, Florida. In 2003, he was appointed Superintendent of the Ocala District by Bishop Edward Robinson, Sr., Jurisdictional Prelate of Florida Central Second Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction.
Today, Supt. Oliver leads Unity Tabernacle COGIC with Vivian Oliver, his wife of nearly 40 years. Together they have three children, Tamara, Elton Jr., and Alexis; 8 grandchildren; and a host of spiritual children who have all been blessed by their union. They cherish every opportunity to touch the lives of others through ministry. Superintendent Elton Oliver, Sr. has been described as a "gentle giant" because his calm, quiet, personality transitions to a bold, supernatural authority when preaching. As the benediction after each service, he loves to recite his sincere belief, "I'm yours Lord. I've been brought with a price. I belong to you. Have your way Lord, in my life, in Jesus' Name. Amen."
The First Lady of Unity Tabernacle is the beautiful and wise Vivian Oliver, who serves by her husband's side as First Lady and District Missionary of the Ocala District. She is proud to note that Unity Tabernacle COGIC is a bible-based teaching and spirit-filled church. Lady Oliver is an active member in her local church where she teaches Sunday School and serves as the president of the Bible Band.
Lady Oliver is employed as a primary school teacher at Blessed Trinity Catholic School in Ocala. She has taught for more than 30 years. Missionary Vivian Oliver loves the work of the Lord and is endeavored to please the Lord in her every walk in life.
Her motto is "Lord, I'm available to you."
Pastor Oliver leads the Ocala District as Superintendent. Beside him, Lady Vivian Oliver serves as our District Missionary. The Ocala District is governed by the Florida Central Second Ecclessiastical Jurisdiction where our Jurisdictional Prelate is Bishop Edward Robinson, Sr. and our Supervisor of Women is Mother Judy Little. We further recognize and honor the fragrance of our jurisdiction, Lady Cynthia Robinson.

Bishop Edward Robinson, Sr.
JURISDICTIONAL PRELATE
Bishop Robinson is the pastor of Southside COGIC also known as our jurisdictional headquarters. To the members for Florida Central Second Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction he is affectionately called "the baddest bishop on this side of heaven."
