Overview of UNITY Foundation:

Universal Nurturing of Inclusion and Transformation for Youth Foundation (UNITY Foundation) is a global non-profit organization dedicated to empowering youth, promoting inclusion, and creating transformative social change. Our mission is to provide marginalized and underserved youth with the necessary resources, education, and skills to thrive in their personal, academic, and professional lives. By focusing on youth development, gender equality, child protection, mental health, and sustainable growth, we aim to create a world where every young individual has equal access to opportunities and the ability to contribute positively to society.

We work with communities, governments, and international organizations to implement programs that address the needs of young people in education, leadership, mental well-being, and social inclusion. Our work is grounded in the belief that when youth are empowered, they can drive positive changes and shape a better future for themselves and future generations.

1. Promote Gender Equality and Inclusion:

To create an environment where all genders have equal access to opportunities, education, and healthcare, eliminating discrimination and biases. Ensure youth from all backgrounds, especially marginalized groups, are included in educational, social, and economic opportunities.


2. Advocate for Gender-sensitive Policies:

To work with governments, organizations, and communities to promote policies that address the unique needs of women, children, and marginalized communities.


3. Ensure Child Protection and Advocacy:

Ensuring children are protected from violence, abuse, and exploitation, while promoting their rights to education, health, and a safe environment. To protect children from all forms of abuse, exploitation, and neglect by establishing safe spaces and providing legal and psychological support.

Focus on promoting women's leadership roles and supporting policies and programs that empower women and girls. To implement programs that provide women and youth with leadership training, educational resources, and support for their personal and professional growth. Empowering youth through education, skill development, and leadership training to help them become self-sufficient, responsible, and contributing members of society. Equip youth with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary for personal development and to participate in the workforce.

Human Resources

Geographical Coverage: At present, UNITY Foundation’s direct program interventions reach in Greater Chittagong Division (including the Chittagong Hill Tracts) and Dhaka District. Besides, UNITY Foundation has been doing country-wide and regional campaigning through its advocacy initiatives and the joint program with grassroots NGO/INGOs, CSOs, CBOs, and DPOs through its Networking & Strategic Linkage Unit. Currently, UNITY Foundation is working for and with a total of 10000 (estimated) disadvantaged and vulnerable people.

Department of UNITY Foundation

Social Development Department: This department is responsible for executing the projects/programs under the major thematic issues of UNITY Foundation such as Health; Education; Human Rights and Good governance; Environment and Climate Change; DRR and Humanitarian Response as per its five-year strategic plan. Under this department, there is the Networking and Strategic Linkage Unit, which is responsible for maintaining communication and strategic relationships with the Government, Non-Government Organizations, Civil Society Organizations, and support to a different program of UNITY Foundation.

Economic Development Department: The Economic development department is responsible for implementing all economic development-related programs/projects under the theme of Economic Empowerment. The major interventions under this department are Savings and credit, Micro Enterprise, Livelihood Enhancement, Value Chain Development, Sustainable Enterprise, Remittance, Micro Insurance, promotion of Ecotourism, Social Business enterprises.

Finance Department: The finance department is responsible for establishing an overall financial controlling system with the objectives to ensure a better degree of financial control, transparency, and accountability of day-to-day operations for providing positive support in administering the overall activities of the organization for smooth functioning.

HRM & D and Admin Department: The Human Resource Management & Development and Admin department is responsible for staff recruitment, staff evaluation, staff management and takes initiative for staff capacity development & coordinate admin related issues. It also ensures a standard system of recruitment, staff development, staff benefit, traveling rules, staff evaluation, grievance procedure, etc. in compliance with the national law.

Knowledge Management for Development (KM4D) Department: UNITY Foundation promotes tacit and explicit knowledge by creating a learning environment throughout the organization under the Knowledge Management for Development (KM4D) department. The major role of this department is to facilitate the knowledge management process and replicate the knowledge into new programming for sustainability, which finally contributes to the vision of the organization. The major tasks of this department include research, monitoring & evaluation, documentation & publication, and program development.

UNITY Foundation has a Secretariat of the Executive Director (SED), which assists the day-to-day task of Executive Director (ED), preserves all important documents along with databases on behalf of ED, and organizes the meetings as required by ED. The secretariat also coordinates and communicates with the different Departments, GO and NGO/INGOs networks and forums, media through relevant UNITY Foundation staff, and shares the need-based report.

Our 10-year strategic plan focuses on creating an inclusive, equal, and sustainable future for young people through youth-led initiatives, education, and mental health support. Through collaborations and global expansion, we will help create a better, brighter future for youth everywhere.

Expand Global Impact: Expand the Foundation’s programs to over 50 countries, ensuring that underserved youth, especially girls and marginalized communities, benefit from inclusive and transformative opportunities.


Become a Global Thought Leader: Establish UNITY Foundation as a leading voice advocating for youth empowerment, mental health, gender equality, and child protection.


Establish Global Youth Networks: Engage 10 million young people in youth leadership and social change programs by 2035.


2. Strategic Goals:

Youth Empowerment & Leadership Development: Establish youth development centers in 100+ regions globally, providing education, leadership training, and vocational skills to marginalized youth.


Gender Equality & Women’s Empowerment: Ensure that 50% of the youth beneficiaries are young girls, promoting equal access to education, career opportunities, and leadership roles.


Child Protection & Mental Health: Provide mental health support and child protection services, especially in regions impacted by conflict and high trauma. Reach 10 million youth through mental health programs by 2035.


Inclusive Education: Ensure that youth from disadvantaged backgrounds have equal access to quality education and vocational training, with a goal of providing scholarships to 5 million youth by 2035.


Social Change & Sustainable Communities: Engage youth in community-driven projects focusing on sustainability, renewable energy, and climate change. Promote local solutions to global problems.


Advocacy for Youth Rights: Advocate for policy changes that protect the rights and opportunities of youth globally. Influence policies on youth education and empowerment in at least 20 countries by 2035.

Global Youth Leadership Academy: Launch an academy that will train and mentor young leaders to become advocates for social change, gender equality, and sustainability.


Global Gender Equality Campaign: Advocate for gender parity in education, employment, and political participation. Build global partnerships and mobilize support to tackle gender-based violence and inequality.


Global Mental Health Support: Establish a global network offering mental health support and counselling services to youth facing stress, depression, anxiety, and trauma.


Youth in Action Projects: Support youth-led community development projects aimed at promoting sustainability, social inclusion, and environmental awareness.

Year 1-3 (2025-2027):

Set up 10 regional youth centers in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

Launch the Youth Leadership Academy and train the first 100,00 young leaders.

Partner with global organizations to expand programs focused on gender equality and youth rights.

Expand to 25 countries, providing mental health services to marginalized youth.

Mobilize 5 million youth through advocacy programs and leadership training.
