Unity Street Soccer is born out of a passion for community and a desire to unite against societal anxiety, seperation & fostering a sense of belonging and empowerment among children. The streets play a vital role in developing soccer skills, and it's often said that a child who learns to play in the streets will soar to new heights in any stadium or arena.

In the late 1980's street soccer in Kumasi, Ghana, was at its heights. its where children regardless of tribe or culture united to play the beautiful game.  in Kumasi, Ghana, soccer has played a pivotal role in shaping the community's identity. Today, the city proudly hosts the iconic Baba Yara Stadium, Ghana's largest stadium, named after the legendary Kumasi-born footballer.

Unity Street Soccer, was founded on a crazy passion for empowering communities and getting girls to kick some soccer balls around. Our totally free girls' soccer program is all about making the sport ridiculously inclusive by breaking down those pesky financial and logistical barriers, linking them up with excellent coaching, and creating a sense of community that's basically like one big happy family. To get this project started, we partnered with Bank Hometown, who kindly provided the financial support to make our girls program a reality, which is all about teaching financial literacy, healthy habits, life skills, and character development, all while having a blast playing soccer.
