The world itself is divided into six continents: Ripiero, Kanita, Zapita, Ailou, Sivalat and Yharlund. There exists a myriad of different settings to explore. Check below what each continent offers.
The continent of Zapita is located in Ulina's east, north of Sivalat and east of Kanita. Zapita is Ulina's most geographically diverse continent. Its west is characterized by steppes and deserts, while the islands in its east are more humid and sport deep rivers that are entrenched in their vast canyons.
A multitude of wars has crippled this continent, yet some still manage to stay powerful and influential. Wandering people and exiled dissidents would often come into contact with the diverse natives of these lands. Zapita is the easiest continent for you to set up in, as it is perfect for all sorts of settings: from isolated communities to regional behemoths. There's enough space for everybody!
The continent of Ailou is fractured into many islands of varying sizes and shapes. It is very humid and many of its parts are draped with dense rainforests. The deeper you go into Ailou's largest islands, the more dense the vegetation gets. The smaller archipelago in its center entirely surrounds a shared sea between them, and it is the perfect setting for a thriving cultural exchange.
Since there is no such thing as a 'mainland', the people of this continent are accustomed to sea transport. As such, they lead lives in coastal communities, whether isolated or consolidated. In Ailou, settings that span multiple islands are very common. Ailou is the perfect continent for the seafarer or the jungle-dweller.
The continent of Kanita is located in Ulina's center-north, connected to Zapita by a narrow land-bridge to the east. Kanita is known for its vast tundras and mountainous terrain, especially in its north. While its south is relatively more temperate, the continent generally has a cooler climate compared to the rest.
Kanita is home to many tight-knit communities that developed around its harsh terrain. It is seemingly always going through a cycle of mutual conciliation and open hostilities. Despite this, there is a strong sense of cultural cohesion, as its residents have blended into these expansive societies over centuries. The lands of Kanita are ideal for cozy and malleable settings.
The continent of Sivalat is located in Ulina's far southeast. It is south of Zapita and east of Ailou. On it rests the massive island of Rheasilvia; and to Rheasilvia's north, there lies a sparse archipelago. Right beside it is the subcontinent of Tokaroka, consisting of the large Tokai and the smaller Roka island. Sivalat's terrain has been shaped by volcanoes, storms and, well... the 'unexplainable'.
Supernatural oddities are almost common occurrence in Sivalat, from sludge lakes capable of transforming the beings that surround them, to future-seeing crystals and flowers shaped like spider nests. Its residents are equally strange for the outsider's eye. If you're into ooky-spookies, quirky creatures or the paranormal, Sivalat is the perfect pick for you.
The continent of Ripiero is almost equally as diverse with its terrain as is Zapita. From steep mountains, harsh deserts, mellow fields and scattered islands, Ripiero has it all. However, what differentiates it from the others is the fact it's a canvas for your work to be implemented upon.
Ripiero's members are very open for collaboration. Being the oldest and most integrated continent, it has a rich history and unique races suited for the different biomes of the continent. If you're into working within, Ripiero should definitely intrigue you.
