The unitary dual plays a central role in representation theory and harmonic analysis, and is closely connected with questions in number theory. The goal of the conference is to bring together researchers working on unitary representations of real and p-adic groups. A central idea of the conference is that it should be fruitful to present methods and results from the theory of unitary representations of p-adic groups to researchers working on real groups, and conversely to make techniques from the real case accessible to those working in the p-adic setting.
The conference will consist of invited talks on recent developments, together with time reserved for discussion, with an emphasis on comparing different approaches and identifying directions for further work.
