Review our policies and guidelines.
Please read the following terms carefully. By accessing and using the services or purchasing products from UNIQ Computers, you acknowledge and agree to the legal terms, conditions, and limitations outlined in this document. These terms serve to protect both you and our business, and we encourage you to review them thoroughly before proceeding with any transactions or services.
1. General Terms
By accessing our website, purchasing products, or utilizing services from UNIQ Computers, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not proceed with the purchase or service. These terms may be updated periodically, and any changes will be reflected on our website.
2. Sales Policy
Final Sales: All sales made through UNIQ Computers are considered final. Once the invoice is generated and the transaction is completed, we do not allow cancellations, modifications, returns, or exchanges under normal circumstances.
Customer Responsibility: Customers are requested to verify the product details, specifications, compatibility, and billing information before finalizing the purchase. If unsure, feel free to ask our team for assistance.
Exceptions Only as Per Law or Warranty: Returns or exchanges will only be considered if mandated by applicable consumer protection laws or covered under valid manufacturer warranty terms.
Non-Returnable Items: The following items are strictly non-returnable:
Software licenses and digital products
Opened or used items
Custom-built PCs or configured systems
Products with damaged or missing original packaging
Advance Payments: For special orders or high-value items, we may require full or partial advance payment. These are also non-refundable if the customer cancels the order after procurement.
Incorrect Orders: In the rare case of an error on our part (wrong item delivered, etc.), we will take responsibility and provide a suitable replacement or solution at no extra cost.
No Exchange for Preference-Based Reasons: Products cannot be exchanged due to personal preference, changes in requirement, or dissatisfaction not related to product performance.
3. Custom PC Builds and Testing Time
Custom PC Assembly and Delivery
For custom-built PCs and workstations, the assembly, testing, and quality checks typically take 3–4 working days before they are ready for delivery or pickup. This ensures optimal performance and system stability.
Order in Advance: We recommend placing your order ahead of time, especially during busy periods or festive seasons, to avoid delays and ensure timely delivery.
Component Availability: The delivery timeline depends on the availability of selected components. If any parts are out of stock or delayed from the supplier, we will inform you immediately and offer alternatives if required.
System Testing: All custom systems undergo thorough stress testing, software installation, driver updates, and performance checks before delivery to ensure they meet expected standards.
Changes After Order: Once the assembly process begins, requests to change components may lead to additional charges and could extend the delivery timeline.
Demo and Handover: On delivery or pickup, we provide a basic system demo and handover checklist. Please inspect the system at that time and report any concerns immediately.
4. Warranty Policy
Manufacturer’s Warranty: All products sold by UNIQ Computers are covered by the respective manufacturer’s warranty, which typically includes protection against manufacturing defects or faulty workmanship. For warranty claims, customers are requested to contact the respective brand’s service center directly.
Warranty Processing Assistance: While most warranties are handled directly by the manufacturer, we may assist you with the RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) process upon request, subject to applicable service or courier charges.
Unauthorized Servicing: Any unauthorized modification, repair, or tampering of systems built or sold by UNIQ Computers will void both manufacturer and store warranty. This includes repairs performed by third-party technicians or any DIY attempts by the user. Once voided, we will not provide support or service for the affected parts.
Warranty Exclusions:
The following are not covered under warranty:
Physical damage (cracks, dents, accidental drops, pressure damage, etc.)
Water or liquid damage
Damages caused by electrical surges, natural disasters, or fire
Software crashes, OS corruption, or third-party application failures
Products with missing or tampered serial numbers, broken warranty seals, or visible track cuts
Burnt or Overheated Components: Burnt ICs, chips, or components caused by overclocking, improper usage, or voltage fluctuations are not eligible for warranty.
No Warranty on Accessories or Freebies: Any accessories or free gifts provided with purchase (like mouse pads, cables, or promotional items) are not covered under warranty.
Warranty Does Not Cover Wear & Tear:
Normal wear and tear, such as fading keys, used batteries, or worn-out fans, are not considered defects and are not covered under warranty.
Warranty Period & Proof:
The warranty period begins from the date of purchase mentioned in the invoice. Customers must retain the original bill/invoice and product box (if applicable) for warranty claims. Loss of invoice may result in denial of service.
Transport or Courier Damage:
Products damaged during transport by third-party courier services are not covered under warranty. We recommend inspecting the package upon delivery.
5. Data Loss Disclaimer
At UNIQ Computers, we take every precaution to ensure the safety and integrity of your data during repairs or upgrades. However, by submitting your device for service, you acknowledge the following:
Backup Requirement: We highly recommend that you back up all data before submitting your device for any repairs, servicing, or upgrades. This includes but is not limited to documents, photos, videos, applications, and system settings.
Data Loss During Repairs: UNIQ Computers is not responsible for any data loss that may occur during the repair process, including but not limited to software upgrades, system reinstallations, or hardware replacements. While we will do our best to avoid data loss, we cannot guarantee that data will not be affected during the repair process.
Storage Devices: If your device includes any form of storage (e.g., hard drives, SSDs), we advise that you back up the contents of the storage before repair or upgrade. If the storage device is found to be faulty, data recovery may be required, and we do not guarantee successful data recovery.
Operating System and Software: In some cases, repairs may require reinstalling or resetting the operating system. UNIQ Computers is not responsible for reinstalling or recovering lost software, applications, or licenses. Please ensure you have proper backups or installation media for your software before servicing.
External Devices: If you provide external storage devices (e.g., USB drives, external hard drives), please back up any critical data before submission. UNIQ Computers will not be responsible for data loss on external devices connected during service.
Data Security: We take data security seriously and will make every effort to protect your data. However, as a general practice, we recommend that you remove any sensitive information from your device before submitting it for service, as we cannot be held liable for any breach or misuse of your personal data.
Risks Involved: By submitting your device for service, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks involved in handling electronic devices. This includes the potential for data corruption, device failure, or accidental data loss. We recommend performing regular backups to prevent permanent loss of important information.
6. Pricing and Payment Terms
All prices, discounts, and special offers are valid only on the day they are advertised and may change at any time without prior notice.
Prices mentioned in-store includes the GST, shipping, installation, or any additional service charges unless clearly mentioned.
Limited-Time Offers: Promotions and discounts are subject to availability and may be withdrawn or changed at our discretion without prior intimation.
Stock Dependency: Some offers are applicable only while stocks last. If the item is out of stock, the same price or offer may not be guaranteed on future purchases.
Errors and Omissions: UNIQ Computers is not responsible for pricing or typographical errors. In the event of an error, we reserve the right to cancel or adjust any order placed at an incorrect price.
Custom Builds: For custom PC builds or bundled deals, final pricing may vary based on component availability and final configuration selected by the customer.
Price Determination: The pricing of products and services at UNIQ Computers is subject to market conditions and supplier rates. Prices may fluctuate based on component availability, demand, and other factors beyond our control. While we aim to provide consistent pricing, please note that final prices may differ from any quoted prices due to these variables.
Online vs In-Store Pricing: The prices listed online may differ from the prices in-store. Online pricing is subject to availability and may be updated periodically. In-store prices are reflective of current stock and local promotions, and may not always match online prices.
Price Validity: Prices quoted or shared with you are valid only for a limited period. If you decide to purchase a product or service after a week of receiving a quote, please be aware that the quoted price may no longer be applicable, and a revised price may be provided at the time of purchase.
Payment Methods: We accept various payment methods including cash, debit/credit cards, and online payment options. Payments must be made in full before delivery or collection of products unless otherwise agreed upon.
Additional Charges: Please be aware that some certain services, such as custom PC builds, upgrades, or additional work, may incur extra charges that will be communicated to you upfront before proceeding.
7. Repair Charges
Service Charges for Unsuccessful Repairs: In cases where we are unable to complete the repair, a minimum service fee will still be charged. This fee covers labor, time spent on diagnostics, and any partial repair efforts made before the issue was determined to be unrepairable.
Standby Parts: We do not provide temporary or standby parts while waiting for replacements during the RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) process. Customers will need to wait until the replacement part is received and installed.
Estimation & Approval: Before proceeding with any paid repair, we will provide an estimated cost. Repairs will only begin after customer approval. In case of additional issues found during the repair process, revised estimates will be shared for re-approval.
Charges for Partially Repaired Devices: If the customer chooses not to proceed with a full repair after partial servicing or diagnostics, the applicable service fee will still apply.
Non-refundable Charges: Diagnostic or service charges once paid are non-refundable, even if the customer declines further repair or chooses to get the device repaired elsewhere.
8. Display and Screen Damage During Repairs
In some cases, screen damage may occur during hinge or frame repairs due to the stress placed on the display. While we take every possible precaution to avoid such damage, we do not assume responsibility for any screen cracks, display malfunction, or panel breakage resulting from these types of repairs. Please discuss any concerns with us before proceeding with the service.
Pre-existing Weaknesses: Many laptops with loose or broken hinges may already have stress lines or hidden cracks in the display. In such cases, even careful handling may lead to visible damage during repair. We cannot be held responsible for issues arising from pre-existing conditions.
No Warranty on Hinge-Related Screen Damage: Screens damaged due to hinge repairs are not covered under warranty or repair guarantees. Any screen replacement, if required, will be charged separately.
Customer Acknowledgement: By proceeding with hinge or frame repairs, the customer accepts the risk of potential screen damage during the process. We encourage discussing the condition of the screen before repair to set proper expectations.
9. Free Goodies and Promotional Items
Promotional items or freebies given with purchases (e.g., accessories, gifts) are provided without any warranty or guarantee. These items are not eligible for return or exchange and are not covered under the terms of warranty.
10. Transportation and Shipping Charges
Customer’s Responsibility: The customer is responsible for any transport or shipping charges related to the delivery, return, or repair of products.
Shipping Time: Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on the location, shipping service, and availability of products.
11. Software and Application Issues
UNIQ Computers does not cover any software or application-related issues under warranty. This includes, but is not limited to:
Operating System Crashes:
We do not provide warranty coverage for crashes or failures related to the operating system, including issues caused by updates, configurations, or incompatibility with installed software.
If you encounter operating system issues, we may assist with troubleshooting or reinstalling the OS at additional charges, but this is not covered by warranty.
Software Bugs or Errors:
Bugs or errors in third-party software applications are not covered by our warranty. These issues should be addressed by the respective software developers or vendors.
If we identify that a specific application is causing the issue, we will recommend troubleshooting steps, but we will not be responsible for fixing bugs or errors related to software.
Malware, Viruses, and Ransomware:
UNIQ Computers is not liable for malware, viruses, ransomware, or any other malicious software that may infect your device.
While we can assist with removing malware or performing a system cleanup for an additional service charge, this is not covered under the warranty.
It is strongly recommended to install and regularly update antivirus and anti-malware software to protect your device.
Application Incompatibilities:
We do not cover issues arising from application incompatibilities with your system, including software that may not run correctly due to hardware limitations, outdated drivers, or system settings.
Compatibility issues with newer or older software versions are not covered under our warranty. We recommend ensuring that all applications are compatible with your device's specifications before installation.
Corrupted or Missing Software Files:
If software files are missing or corrupted due to user error or software malfunctions, we will not be liable for restoring or replacing these files.
We may offer data recovery services for files that are lost or corrupted, but this will be done on a case-by-case basis and may incur additional charges.
Software Installations or Updates:
We are not responsible for issues arising from the installation or updating of software. If you experience problems after installing or updating software, you will need to work directly with the software vendor for assistance.
UNIQ Computers may assist with reinstallation of software, but any software-related issues that arise post-installation will be the responsibility of the customer.
Custom Software or Unlicensed Software:
If you use custom software or unlicensed software on your device, we are not responsible for any performance issues, security vulnerabilities, or legal issues related to these programs.
We recommend only using legally licensed and supported software to ensure smooth operation and security of your device.
Data Loss Due to Software Issues:
We are not responsible for data loss resulting from software failures, crashes, or errors.
We recommend that customers regularly back up important data to minimize the risk of data loss due to software-related issues. We can assist with data recovery for an additional charge, but this is not covered under warranty.
Restoring Software to Factory Settings:
If you request to restore your device to factory settings as part of a repair or service, any software, applications, or personal data will be erased.
This is a non-reversible process, and UNIQ Computers is not responsible for any loss of data or installed software.
12. Modifications to Terms & Unauthorized Modifications
For systems, including custom-built PCs, any unauthorized modification, repair, tampering, or servicing of the device by parties other than UNIQ Computers will void the warranty.
No Support for Unauthorized Modifications: We will not provide any support, repairs, or services for any system that has been modified or tampered with without prior approval or authorization from UNIQ Computers. This includes, but is not limited to, changes to hardware, software, firmware, or internal components.
Loss of Warranty: Any damage resulting from unauthorized modifications or repairs will not be covered by warranty, and we will not be liable for any resulting issues, including but not limited to component failure, data loss, or performance degradation.
Service Refusal: We reserve the right to refuse service to any system that has been tampered with, altered, or modified in any unauthorized manner. This includes devices that have had parts replaced by third-party technicians or have had unauthorized software installed or altered.
Customer Responsibility: You are solely responsible for ensuring that no unauthorized modifications are made to your system. If modifications are made by a third party or without proper authorization, you must assume full responsibility for any issues or damages that arise from those changes.
Repairs After Unauthorized Modifications: In cases where we perform repairs or service on devices that have been previously modified without authorization, we may charge additional fees for restoring the device to a serviceable state. Any parts that need to be replaced due to unauthorized modifications will be done at your expense, and we will not guarantee the same level of performance or functionality as the original configuration.
Preventive Measures: We encourage customers to reach out to UNIQ Computers for any modifications, repairs, or upgrades to ensure that the integrity of your system is maintained, and warranty coverage is upheld.
13. Indemnification
By using our services, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless UNIQ Computers, its directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, demands, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising from or in connection with the following:
