Competitors and spectators should note all rooms not highlighted in red are OFF LIMITS. There will be no waiting or 'hanging out' in any areas other than the warm-up room or main platform room.
Venue Rules
By competing, spectating or handling at this competition, you agree to abide by the following rules. The promoter reserves the right to ask anyone to leave the venue should they not be following the rules.
You shall stay within the correct areas of the venue (outlined in red above). The only exception is when moving from room to room.
No talc to be used inside the venue - if talc is used or spilt inside it will be your responsibility to clean it up
Weights shall not be thrown or dropped unnecessarily, purposely or aggressively on the ground
Weights shall be replaced back onto weight trees when not in use. They should not be left on the floor or against walls.
Kit should be stored neatly along the walls, not left in the middle of the floor
There will be a maximum of 1 coach per lifter in the warm-up room. The coach should hold a BP membership or give full name and contact details.
There will be a £5 entry fee for all spectators and coaches.
Any rubbish shall be disposed of in the bins provided and all areas of the venue shall be left as clean or cleaner than found.
Everyone shall be respectful of other members of the public using the community centre. Noise in the hall and the warm-up room shall be kept to a minimum. There is no noise limit in the main platform room.
You should follow any instructions by BP officials or any volunteer, who can be identified by the official referee uniform or the official volunteer comp tee.
By car:
There is plenty of free on-site parking. Please park in assigned parking bays and not on the residential road leading into the facility
By train:
The nearest train station is Chelmsford. You can catch the C7 Chelmsfords shuttle bus from the station to the venue, which takes 20 mins.
The organisers reserve the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Competition at any time without prior notice and shall not be held liable for any such changes. By participating in the Competition, participants grant the organisers and sponsors the right to use photographs, and other relevant information for promotional and marketing purposes without additional compensation. Participants acknowledge and agree that the organizers may collect, process, and store their personal data for the purposes of administering the Competition and complying with legal obligations. Personal data collected may include, but is not limited to, participants' names, contact information, and any other information provided during the entry process. Competitors compete at their own risk.
