Volunteer Opportunities
Resource Navigation Volunteers (Remote)
Help families understand and access essential systems — housing, healthcare, safety, benefits, school processes, and more.
No prior experience needed; we train volunteers to:
Learn how to navigate local and federal systems
Walk families through forms, applications, and next steps
Provide clear, compassionate guidance
Support families remotely with patience and cultural understanding
This role is perfect for someone who is organized, empathetic, and willing to learn.
Media, Storytelling & Voiceover Volunteers
Help us amplify community stories through digital media, narration, and creative contributions.
Volunteers can support by:
Recording voiceovers for videos or educational content
Recommending books and resources for our community library
Contributing written pieces, essays, or reflections
Assisting with social media content and storytelling projects
Helping shape our digital voice and community-centered messaging
Perfect for creatives, writers, narrators, and anyone passionate about storytelling.
Community Events & Fundraising Volunteers
Support our pupusa fundraisers, cultural events, donation drives, and outreach activities across the DMV.
Volunteers help with:
Event setup and coordination
Greeting families and community partners
Supporting donation tables and resource booths
Helping run monthly fundraisers
Representing Unidos for Hope at community events
