The initial trio of players, undeterred by the modest size of the club, saw the potential to create something special. With dedication and enthusiasm, they set out to expand the club, inviting more players to join and share in the joy of chess.

In a remarkable milestone for Uni-Mates Chess Club, three of our players participated in their first-ever professional tournament in December 2021, competing in the Under 14 section. This marked a significant step for our club, showcasing the dedication and talent of our members. To our immense pride, one of our players emerged as the gold finalist, clinching victory and bringing glory to Uni-Mates Chess Club.
As we reflect on our journey since 2020, Uni-Mates Chess Club stands as a testament to the power of dedication and community. Through the combined efforts of our founding members, supportive parents, and the growing roster of talented players, we have established ourselves as a force to be reckoned with in the chess world.
