The UNH team will be participating in the BuildingsNEXT Student Design Competition from April 25-27, 2025 in a virtual event.

On March 27, the Solar Decathlon announced significant updates to its 2025 competition, now rebranded as the “BuildingsNEXT” Student Design Competition. In an email to participating teams, organizers shared that additional materials, including revised templates and name changes, will be provided soon. A major shift in format replaces the traditional final competition with a “non-competitive Team Showcase.” This event will allow teams to present a 10-minute pitch followed by an eight-minute Q&A session. Honorable mentions will be recognized during a ceremony on Sunday, April 27. While the showcase will still take place at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, Colorado, teams now have the option to participate virtually.
