I read every message and usually reply within a couple of days.
Undersize doesn't appear in my share sheet
Open Photos, select a video and tap Share. Scroll the row of app icons all the way to the right and tap More, then switch Undersize on. You can drag it higher in that list to keep it near the front. If it still doesn't appear, restart your iPhone — iOS sometimes caches the share sheet after an install.
It says "Already fits" and won't compress
That's deliberate. Your video is already smaller than the size you asked for, and re-compressing a small file often makes it larger rather than smaller. If you want to shrink it anyway, tap "Compress anyway".
I paid for Pro but the app still shows the free limit
Open Settings inside the app (the gear icon, top right) and tap Restore Purchase. Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple Account you bought with. Purchases are tied to the Apple Account, not the device, so a new phone needs one Restore tap.
How many videos can I compress for free?
Two per day. The counter resets 24 hours after your first compression, and it's shared between the app and the share sheet. Pro removes the limit entirely for a single payment — there is no subscription and nothing renews.
The compressed video looks washed out or sideways
Please email me the details: which iPhone, whether the video was recorded in HDR (iPhone 12 and later record HDR by default), and whether it was portrait or landscape. HDR video needs converting to standard range to compress well, and that conversion is where problems of this kind come from. It's fixable, and I'd like to fix it.
Where did my compressed video go?
Nowhere, until you choose. On the result screen, Share sends it straight to another app, and Save writes it to your photo library. Undersize keeps a temporary working copy that it deletes automatically once you're done.
Does it upload my videos?
No. There is no server. Compression runs entirely on your iPhone and the app makes no network requests of its own. You can put the phone in Airplane Mode and it works exactly the same.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by me. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, find Undersize and request a refund. If something's wrong with the app, email me first — I'd rather fix it.
