Undersize does not collect any data. There is no account, no analytics, no tracking, and no server. Your videos are compressed entirely on your device and are never uploaded anywhere.
What we collect
Nothing. Undersize has no servers and makes no network requests of its own.
Your videos
Videos you select or share into Undersize are processed on your iPhone using Apple's built-in media frameworks. They are never transmitted off the device. Temporary working copies are written to the app's private temporary storage and are deleted automatically after the job finishes, and again when the app next launches.
Location and metadata
Video files recorded on a phone commonly embed the GPS coordinates where they were filmed, along with device details. Undersize removes this information from the compressed file it produces, so sharing a compressed video does not disclose where it was recorded. We do not read, store or transmit that data — we discard it.
Photo library access
Undersize asks for permission to add photos and videos, which is used only to save a compressed file when you tap Save. Selecting a video uses Apple's system picker, which hands the app only the item you chose — Undersize cannot browse your library.
Purchases
The one-time Pro unlock is processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment details. An internet connection is required only at the moment you buy or restore a purchase; the app functions fully offline otherwise. Apple's handling of purchase data is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
