Underlay Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Underlay handles information in connection with the Underlay iOS application. Underlay does not require user accounts, does not provide AI features, and does not upload, store, or sync your photos or files on Underlay servers.
1. Information We Collect
Underlay collects only the categories of information necessary to operate, measure, and improve the App. These categories are limited to crash logs, analytics events, and subscription status.
Crash logs and diagnostics may include technical information associated with app failures or performance issues, such as app version, device type, operating system version, timestamps, and similar diagnostic data made available by the services we use.
Analytics events may include information about how features are used within the App, such as screens viewed, interactions with product features, and general app usage patterns.
Subscription status may include information needed to determine whether premium features should be available to you.
2. Camera and Photo Library Access
The App may request access to your camera and photo library in order to let you create, preview, edit, and save images using the App’s core features.
Image content is processed locally on your device. Underlay does not collect, upload, store, or sync your photos, snapshots, or other image files on its own servers.
3. How We Use Information
Underlay uses the limited information described in this Privacy Policy to operate the App, understand feature usage, diagnose crashes, improve performance and stability, and determine subscription access.
4. Third-Party Services
Underlay uses third-party service providers, including Firebase, Amplitude, and Google Analytics.
These providers may process technical diagnostics, analytics data, and subscription-related information on our behalf or as part of the services they provide. Their handling of information is governed by their own terms and privacy documentation.
5. Payments and Subscriptions
Payments for subscriptions are processed by Apple. Underlay does not receive your full payment card number or other complete Apple billing credentials.
Underlay may receive subscription status and limited transaction-related information necessary to validate access to premium features.
6. No Accounts, No User Content Storage, and No Cloud Sync
Underlay does not require account registration.
Underlay does not provide cloud storage, account-based sync, export services, or server-side storage for your photos, files, or other user content.
7. Data Retention
Because Underlay does not maintain user accounts or store your photos or files on its own servers, we do not retain user content on our servers.
Crash logs, analytics events, and subscription-related records may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for diagnostics, analytics, service operation, legal compliance, and abuse prevention, including in accordance with the retention settings of the third-party services we use.
8. International Use
The App is made available globally through the App Store. Because Underlay and its third-party service providers may process information in different countries, information covered by this Privacy Policy may be processed outside your country or region.
9. Your Choices and Rights
You can stop further use of the App at any time by uninstalling it. You can also manage camera and photo library permissions in your device settings and manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings.

10. Children
Underlay is not directed to children who are below the minimum age permitted by Apple to download and use the App in their jurisdiction.
11. Security
Underlay uses commercially reasonable measures to protect information handled in connection with the App. However, no method of transmission, storage, or processing is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Underlay may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version becomes effective when it is published.
