'Conceited' was the first song we wrote together as a band, the first time we all got in a room together, one of those lightning in a bottle moments.

We was preparing for the upcoming performance in the Television Studio at their college for the 'Geazer: Montage of Feck' (2019) mockumentary, where 'Conceited' was premiered. Guitarist Eoan Smith had the riffs and the title of 'Conceited', and when Vocalist Tyler Quantrill began to improvise lyrics whilst the band played the track, the line 'Conceited / Feeling so cheated' came about, and fitted perfectly, becoming the main hook of the track. The first two lines of verse one also remained the same 'I don't know where I'm going / But I know that it's all alone...'

Covering the themes of betrayal and change, the straight to the point lyrics of 'Conceited' is complimented by gritty grunge rock guitar riffs and a catchy, simple and effective chorus.

The track was premiered during the performance, with the band playing an early version of the track. The early version had a different first verse, and an improvised second verse, alongside the verse and chorus riffs being swapped and the 'big ending', which the band did to add a comedic element to the mockumentary.

Following this, the band continued rehearsing and fine tuned the track, playing the finished version of the track live at an impromtu warm up performance for their debut show at The Prince of Wales in Kettering, UK in November 2019. The band were currently unnamed and performed the same set from the Television Studio performance.

'Conceited' was also performed live at the bands debut show in December 2019, which went down well with the audience and received a loud singalong from some of the bands friends in attendance who had previously heard the track.

The band began recording in March 2020, recording two tracks before the COVID-19 Pandemic caused schools and and colleges to close. 'Conceited' was the first track to be recorded and released by the band, which was appropriate as it was also the first song written by the band.

'Conceited' was released on 25th March 2020 on the bands YouTube channel, and went live on all major streaming services around this time too.

As of April 2020, 'Conceited' has surpassed six thousand Spotify streams and has received airplay in Australia and South Africa, and on internet radios from California, Dakota and more!
