The CDL offers opportunities to participate in research through student training, community partnerships, and collaborations with researchers at other institutions. Our research uses both experimental and naturalistic methods to understand cognitive development in everyday learning environments.
The CDL offers UNCW undergraduate students opportunities to gain research experience and academic credit through Directed Independent Study (PSY 291, PSY 491).
We also welcome applications from students interested in pursuing graduate training in conceptual development and categorization, with a focus on the domain of food. The CDL supports research training through the Psychological Science M.S. and Ph.D. programs.
