The Cognitive Development Lab (CDL) offers UNCW undergraduate students opportunities to gain research experience and earn credit through Directed Independent Study (PSY 291, PSY 491).
We especially encourage prospective graduate students interested in experimental, developmental research on cognition—particularly conceptual development and categorization—to apply. The CDL provides research training through the Psychological Science M.S. and Ph.D. programs, as well as the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program within the Department of Psychology.
