Title: Are We There Yet? A Journey Around Australia by Alison Lester This book is a brilliant introduction to many of the natural landmarks and famous places on the continent.
Tara Bradshaw -
Title: Becoming Naomi Leon by Pam Munoz Ryan It shows a young girl discovering her heritage while also dealing with real world problems. The issues might be kind of dark (mother's alcoholism, custody battles) but these are real things kids go through. It has lighter side, as well. It shows the true meaning of family and offers insight on how to speak up for yourself.

Title: Front Desk by Kelly Yang - This book is a perfect example of the discrimination this now "model minority" faced not even 30 years ago and many still face today. This is also a great book on perseverance and hope and how one can weather any storm with enough hope and kindness
Kelley Cunningham-

Title: Jabari Jumps by Gaia Cornwall I chose this book because of the message teaches children it is okay to be scared sometimes. I think that adults always try to act brave around children but we forget that children do get scared and need to know that fear isn't necessarily a bad feeling.
