Middle School Guidance

Hi everyone! This is Ms. Searing, your 6th-8th grade School Counselor at Unatego Central School!

I wanted to create a space where parents and students could find relevant information and resources throughout middle and high school. If you ever have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

If you look up top of this page, there are sections for each grade level you can check out, but feel free to look at different grades, too! You never know what you might find. There is also a "Calming Corner" section that has lots of different activities and videos for you to try out!  Lastly, there's a section with parent resources and ways to contact me.

Middle school guidance is more than just annual meetings to go over schedules and classes. School Counselors help with all sorts of things, like goal setting, feelings, friendship, making decisions, getting organized, things going on at home, and more. I am also here for college and career prep beginning in middle school and continuing throughout high school.  You will see me collaborating with your teachers and coming into your classrooms to do things with you throughout the years. If you want to talk or set up an appointment, you can call or send me an email any time. And you can always stop by my office during school too, of course!

SchoolTool Access for Parents and Students

SchoolTool

Parents and students can access schoolTool.  This is set up initially by the Guidance Office, if you have any questions please contact me!

To access the SchoolTool website please click on the logo

You will log in using your full email address. Once you're logged in, you will click on their name and it will open a bunch of tabs.  The 'grades' tab will be where marking period grades are visible once they are stored. The 'assignments tab' is where you'll see the classes and assignments. You can use the drop-down to filter by class, or you can leave it and see all of the classes in one screen. As always, please do not ever hesitate to reach out to me for assistance with schoolTool.
