This year’s UNAMnet Meeting was held on April 21-22, 2026 in the FAO HQ office alongside virtual participants and guest speakers.
Over the course of two days, the members discussed the normative framework for accountability mechanisms, shared expertise on dispute resolution facilitation, and identified resource-sharing opportunities to further develop this space for inter-agency collaboration.

The next UNAMnet Annual Meeting will be held on November 19-20, 2024. This year's meeting will be conducted in a hybrid format, with in-person sessions hosted at the IFAD and FAO offices in Rome, as well as virtual participation options.

In November 2023, members met for the first UNAMnet Annual Meeting.
Over two days, representatives from eight UN agencies met virtually to discuss accountability issues, including complaint management, internal and external outreach strategies, and investigation processes. Professor David Hunter concluded the meeting with a discussion on various accountability models.
In October 2022, UNDP's Social and Environmental Compliance Unit (SECU) hosted the first UNAMnet meeting. During this first series of conferences, participants discussed the critical characteristics of accountability mechanisms in the context of UN agencies and some of the most common challenges faced while establishing a new accountability mechanism.
Accountability Counsel and the Center of International Environmental Law (CIEL) also presented their perspectives on the importance of having accountability mechanisms in the UN system.
