Unable To Download Facebook Videos

I am unable to play videos in facebook or bbc iplayer. I am using firefox as my browser. In facebook,the video looks just the same after I press "play" as before. Its as though I have not pressed play at all. In bbc iplayer I get the message "this content doesn't seem to be working. Please try again later". I have tried several suggestions from this site including:

Well, the so called accessibility team at facebook has done it again. I can no longer close out videos rather they are live or just in general, what is happening is when I try to close a video it just keeps toggling the video controls and the close button. Anyone else experiencing this?

I've had that problem though but not all the time. When ever that occurs I just close it out from the app switcher and go back to facebook real quick so I don't lose my spot. And I do agree they did break some features that I like. If you follow a page for example and you want to read comments its filtered out and I have to change to view all comments every time I get a new post from that particular page. They keep updating every 2 weeks but something keeps breaking all the time. Its annoying I know.

hey im actually having this same problem. when i first started uploading videos i had no problems. but now it gives me the same notification about uploading but never does. i've tried everything, syncing it to my phone but keeps saying i dont have wifi on even though i do, tried to upload it to drive, wont work. and even tried to cast it to my phone and record, but for that the audio is messed up and never is lined up with what im doing in the vid. i honestly wish there were more options than facebook since i never really use it besides this. i just want to upload my vids. why is this so frustratingly difficult?.

Why can't I open facebook videos on my ipad and iphone any more? I used to be able to open most but now I can't open any. Now it just comes up with a message 'unable to play video.Check your internet connection and try again' There is nothing wrong with my internet connection. I am on wifi and full signal strength. This is happening on both ipad and iphone. It's not the problem where sometimes a video wants Adobe to open it. This message comes up as soon as you try to click on the video play button in the video. Can anyone tell me how to resolve this please?

Thanks for this Griff but it's not the app that isn't responding. I am in the facebook app (on both iPhone and iPad) and the app is working fine but if people post a video I can't look at the video on the iPhone or iPad. i always used to be able to but now it keeps coming up with the message I mentioned above. So I can no longer watch videos from facebook on either my iPad or iPhone. Here is a screen shot of my phone of what is happening. As you can see I have full wifi so there is nothing wrong with my internet connection. This is really annoying as I used to be able to watch videos on both phone and ipad out of facebook. now I can't. Hope you can help. regards and thanks Vicki

When FB tries to autoplay videos in my newsfeed I get the thumbnail as normal but the loading icon, the spinning circle is a really low res blocky one. The icon spins and then stops and the video doesn't play. If I click on a video to play it I just get a black screen.If I click on a video and change the www of the web address from www.facebook.com/... to m.facebook.com/... to force the site into Mobile version I can get videos to play.
