I can change channels anywhere on the line-up except when I go to the Weather Channel. The back button does not work, the numerical pad does not work. I have to use the channel up or down button to go to the next channel before the numerical pad works.

Also The Weather Channel always shows U.S. weather instead of my local weather and radar. Sometimes ther OK button will take me interactive, but not always. When I do see the local weather, the radar picture is so small that it is ridiculous!

Sometime last year, I believe in response to continued requests for a more suitable LOT8 feature, U-verse made The Weather Channel an application instead of just a channel. Unlike most other applications at a channel (which make you press OK before launching the channel), The Weather Channel application automatically starts.

Uverse needs to step up in the Weather Channel radar. It is truly pitiful! The other weather channel option is not much better. Twice I have had to get on my iphone to see real time radar for my location. That is just plain silly!

It's the feed from Weather Channel on 1225, Uverse has nothing to do w/it. 227 has radar from Accuweather and more accurate, but for radar to be w/in 15 mins or less, I have Accuweather as my home page on my laptop. ?

In response to what you stated..did this have to do with the stupid added programming that the weather channel added ever since NBC and had taken over it in 2008 that the people complained about so that they can just see their weather and not listen to all the babling by these actors on teh weather channel now.

Guess you don't know how Weather Nation works. Local forecast/warning inserts are done by the system it is on. How is ATT Uverse going to be able to do this, they have no on-air forecasters in each VHO location or weather forecasting abilities.

Localized weather forecast segments are provided by the participating WeatherNation TV affiliate, either in the form of pre-recorded segments conducted by the affiliate's weather staff or via a graphical forecast segment using the network's on-air graphics package...

It might have something to do with the Weather channel not having a TVE stream right now. Their website for TVE is under construction again: I believe channels needs TVE to be working for the channel to play correctly.

Nope the coming soon page has been there for 2 or 3 years now. It has nothing to do with the stream Channels has been using. The few times Weather Channel stops working it gets brought up that it says coming soon on that landing page but it's not the stream that Channels uses. Hopefully the devs get these channels back up soon. Weather Channel is down along with Science Channel at the moment.

Channels never says but I can definitely confirm it's not from that coming soon page. If you look back at past posts of when the weather channel stops working you will see that same thing gets brought up and the channel still gets fixed because as I said that coming soon page has been up for years now but weather channel on channels has been working all along. Normally channels devs don't even post a response when they get it working again. Users just post that it's fixed if you look at the past posts.

This has been going on for a while, but really irritating today. I'm trying to watch coverage on the Weather Channel (channel 55 in Phoenix area) and it is unwatchable due to weather warnings completely out of my area in Tucson announced over and over repeatedly for hours. I have family in Florida and trying to watch the hurricane coverage and you can't hear the sound because of the incessant voice over of a computer for 4 hours now about weather warnings over a hundred miles away from me. Some thunderstorm down in Pima county.

This integration creates two weather entities - one with a daily forecast, and one with an hourly forecast. It also creates several sensors for other pieces of weather information, such as dew point and UV index. The full list of sensors/data is available in the README in the above GitHub repo.

I have an Orbi router and an Ambient Weather 2902 station. The Weather Station connects to the Orbi without issue and I can see that it is connected using the Orbi app. However, the Weather Station is unable to report its weather to the internet. I have tried all of the Ambient resolution steps including rebooting the router and have verified Mac Addresses etc. Is there a setting on the router that needs to be changed to allow this device to report to the internet (Internet access is turned on) If so, I can't see where that might need to be changed.

The saga of our weather station, a practical but not very aesthetically pleasing technological addition to our home's exterior, began with big plans some months ago. What started with the purchase of a few AcuRite temperature sensors and a communication hub quickly expanded. This all happened when I realized that I was routinely checking the WeatherBug or The Weather Channel app to see the current temperature, wind direction, and other related information at our new house when we're not there. However, each time I checked I had to remind myself that the nearest reporting weather station was a good distance from our home and therefore was not entirely accurate.

In short, since I already owned an AcuRite hub and a few temperature sensors, I went ahead and purchased one of their 5-in-1 Pro+ weather stations to add to my existing system. This would allow us to monitor temperature, rainfall totals, wind speed, wind direction, and humidity.

Once I had the weather station up and running on our network (which really only took about 10 minutes to setup using the AcuRite app), the next most important piece of the equation was coming up with the all important decision of where we'd mount the unit. As of right now I'm most interested in the weather down on the water, so I decided to mount the weather station to the first piling on our pier.

I was especially keen on getting the weather station in place ASAP last weekend with Tropical Storm Hermine spinning just off the coast a somewhat short distance from our home. I really wanted to see how fast the gusts of wind were getting up to. We had friends visiting for the night, so with our ideal destination in mind, my friend Matt and I took our tools down to the pier to mount the weather station.

After our weather station was successfully mounted I sat back on the porch and began configuring the app to make sure it was still reporting. The weather station needs to be within 300 feet of the base station for it to work correctly. Everything was looking good, we were getting readings, and I took pride in a job that was not only done well, it was done quickly. That's when it happened.

As you can see from the (very one sided, in Wendy's opinion) photo above, this may have been a slight case of the Princess and the Pea, or maybe the Woman and the Weather Station. Wendy could see only the weather station among all of the beauty of her view from the porch. She also couldn't stand seeing it.

Not only was Wendy's mind made up on where to mount the weather station, the date and time of when this must occur was also set in stone. Apparently that date and time was "then and immediately." Knowing that I wasn't interested in jumping in the kayak in nearly gale force wind (a fact I was able to confirm by looking at the windspeed readout from my weather station that reported a 30 mph max wind speed), Wendy decided to call my bluff. She grabbed the drill and kayak and started to act like she and Tracie would be moving the weather station themselves.

Now, I was 100% sure Wendy wasn't about to go down to the pier and unscrew the weather station from the first pier for the purpose of moving it. I mean, I know Wendy is stubborn and likes to have things happen her way, drives a hard bargain, and won't accept no for an answer. Okay, on second thought, I was about 85% sure that the weather station was staying put until I would move it at a later date.

I'd say my confidence was about 62% that as long as I held my ground, she wouldn't jump in the Kayak and paddle out with the drill and weather station to mount on the further piling. The more I thought about it I'd say I was probably about 43% sure that Wendy would stop well before she even dragged the kayak down to the water wearing her jeans, Wellies, and holding a glass of wine in one hand and drill in the other.

Besides all of this, I was absolutely 24% positive that she wouldn't be mounting it, with proper south facing orientation to ensure proper function on wind direction...Ahhh dammit, this was not going to end well, so I sucked it up and grabbed the kayak, drill, and weather station to start "project relocation."

Form over function was my co-captain and we made our way around to the final destination of the weather station (not to be confused with Final Destination...which might be an appropriately set scene given the circumstances). Lulu was (understandably) concerned. ff782bc1db
