Behind the Architecture building, this untitled outdoor sculpture was created by sculptor Raymond Kaskey in 1972. Resembling a pyramid, the sculpture was given in memory of Herbert E. Rycroft II; an architect of the Baltimore firm of Fisher, Neff and Campbell. Rycroft's firm had designed the building for the University of Maryland's School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation. Rycroft's Aunt Frances Rycroft Barr requested the sculpture's creation after her nephews sudden death.
