Mapathons are a great way to work together to support a particular mapping task or project. As long as you are willing to learn than anyone can become a mapper and help support people around the world.
The tasking manager allows you to contribute by tracing buildings, roads, etc. using satellite imagery donated by different sources to the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team. This is a great way to support humanitarian programs taking place on the ground. If you hear about something happening around the world make sure to check the tasks to see if they need help with disaster response!
MapSwipe is a great way to contribute right from your phone! Download from the app store and create your account to start marking tiles. These tiles help create imagery squares to map on the HOT tasking manager.
