Network Biology Laboratory

@ UMass Boston

The Network Biology Laboratory focuses on modeling and analyzing biological systems at the molecular level. We develop methods and software tools to:

  • Increase our understanding in biological molecular mechanisms

  • Transform literature knowledge into computable and integrable structures

  • Generate mechanistic knowledge from experiment results

  • Make causal bridges between existing knowledge and new experiment results

  • Efficient visualization of known and hypothesized relationships between biological molecules

  • Identifying patterns in experimental molecular readouts that indicate functional information

  • Detection of disease-driver molecular alterations in large studies of specific diseases

  • Repurposing drugs based on its known interactions and experimental data

We are looking for graduate students to join the lab. Please see this page.
