UMass Amherst
We are the Fernald Club, UMass Amherst's campus entomology club! For over 100 years, we have been promoting entomology through outreach, education, and scientific research at UMass and in the western Massachusetts community.
Our goals are to provide a community for entomology-interested students on campus, educate the UMass community and the public about the wonder of insects, and promote insect conservation. We aim to serve as a center for all things entomology at UMass and in the local area!
The club meets in historic Fernald Hall, where members maintain UMass's Live Insect Zoo and help curate the UMass entomology collection. Club members regularly conduct insect outreach events at UMass and elsewhere in the area. Stop by Fernald Hall or contact us to learn more about insects!
