Absolutely! Our team regularly presents at national and international conferences, workshops, and webinars. We are open to both academic and industry-related speaking opportunities.
We cover a range of topics tailored to the audience, including: AI-driven innovations in health care & radiology, the intersection of digital health and sustainability, and the future of health care service delivery.
To inquire about scheduling a speaking engagement, please either directly contact the researcher you're interested in, or submit a request via this form.
Yes, UM2ii offers various opportunities for students, residents, and fellows to engage in our research projects.
We welcome individuals with a strong interest in our core areas: translational AI, sustainability, and radiology service delivery research. Our lab provides mentorship and hands-on experience tailored to the level and interests of each trainee. Trainees can get involved in a range of activities, from assisting with data analysis and AI model development to participating in health outcomes research.
Depending on the scope of the project, there may also be opportunities for co-authorship on research publications, abstracts/presentations at conferences, and/or contributions to grant writing.
There's a great blog post on how to find a lab (even if not ours!); while it is written by an MD/PhD, I find it has pearls applicable to MD-only students & residents as well, link here: https://mdphdtobe.com/2020/06/22/almost-docs-how-to-pick-a-research-lab/
If you’re interested in gaining research experience with us, please submit a form at this link to discuss potential opportunities to join our team.
Most of our work at UM2ii is centered on translational research, such as AI applications or health service delivery/outcomes in radiology.
We are not usually involved in clinical educational projects like clinical reviews/case posters. However, Dr. Flo Doo occasionally engages in collaborative efforts, especially for trainee development. Specifically for abdominal (GI/GU) imaging projects, we may consider projects on a case-by-case basis.
For clinically-focused projects in radiology subspecialties, we recommend reaching out to these faculty collaborators (names link to profile pages with email addresses) - some faculty may be in multiple categories:
