Qpath is the imaging system that collects all of the ultrasound images and clips taken on our ultrasound machines and organizes them by individual patients and studies. This is how you will turn in all of your studies.
After completing a study on a patient, you will log in to this system to delete any redundant images or clips, fill out a clinical report, and submit it for grading. If the study is an official, ordered, point-of-care study, the report you fill out will leave Qpath and go to the patient's electronic medical record and your images with go to PACS.
Any incomplete studies, or studies you feel are poorly done, should all still be turned in for review. Even though the study will likely not receive positive credit towards your study count, any images taken of a patient should still be turned in so they can be screened for possible abnormalities that your reviewers may notice that you may have missed. And remember, failed studies don't count against you, they just don't count towards your final numbers.
Through O2 (at the hospital or at home)
Open & log in to O2 --> you will want to be in department HC1 EMERGENCY by default
Open the Epic tab on the top left --> go to "Weblinks" --> go to "Qpath"
Through a browser directly (at the hospital only)
open a Google Chrome or a Microsoft Edge browser window
type "qpath/" into the address bar & press enter
If you have completed a study but can not find it in Qpath, there are a few things that may have happened.
The study has the wrong date associated with it.
Look for any studies completed on different days with your information on it.
The study is "stuck" and did not transfer off of the machine.
This can occur if the machine does not have a good WiFi signal, or if the battery dies.
Go to the machine you did the study on, and transfer it manually. Check all machines if you're not sure which machine you did the study on. See below for the instructions for each machine on how to check them for "stuck" studies, and how to manually transfer them if discovered.
Your username was not entered or was entered incorrectly.
If you forgot to enter your username, messed up your username by one letter / number, or if you entered your username in the wrong area on the patient info page, you won't be able to find it in Qpath.
You'll need to ask an attending to log in to Qpath and look for your study, and then attach your name to it under the "Operator" section.
You will then be able to see it again when you log into Qpath.
Contact Dr. Jackson if you still can't find a study.
