The Gao Group will officially launch in Fall 2026 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison!

We are an interdisciplinary team of chemists, physicists, and materials scientists driven by a passion for ultrafast science. Our mission is to uncover the microscopic interactions that govern material properties and to control them using advanced light sources.

The journey has to start with many talented and motivated postdocs/graduate students/undergraduate students! We are actively hiring at the moment. If your research interest aligns, feel free to reach out to discuss projects!
