Kunyan Zhang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics, Applied Physics, and Astronomy at Binghamton University (SUNY). She completed postdoctoral training at the University of California, Berkeley with Prof. Graham Fleming, where she used ultrafast spectroscopy to study energy transfer dynamics in nanoscale systems. Prior to that, she was a postdoctoral researcher at Rice University with Prof. Shengxi Huang, focusing on light–matter interactions in low-dimensional quantum materials. Her research interests include ultrafast spectroscopy, nanoscale energy and charge dynamics, and quantum materials. Outside the laboratory, she enjoys reading, hiking, and cooking.
