Zoffy (ゾフィー, Zofī) is the commander of the Inter Galactic Defense Force, as well as the second member and leader of the Ultra Brothers. He first appeared in the final episode of the original Ultraman TV series, thus becoming the very second Ultra-being from Nebula M78 to go to Earth. Zoffy reappeared many times later, helping the other Ultra Brothers through various difficult situations. .
Ultraman (ウルトラマン, Urutoraman) is an alien from a place called the Land of Light in Nebula M78, who chased the monster Bemular to Planet Earth, and merged with Shin Hayata during his tenure there. He is the first Ultra to visit Earth and defended the planet against Kaiju until he was recalled after his battle with Zetton. Ultraman was given his title by his human host.
Ultraseven (ウルトラセブン, Urutorasebun) is the third Ultra-being to come to Planet Earth (first and only in the spin-offs). He came to the planet after being sent to map the Milky Way, but this planet caught his attention and arrived here, he took the appearance of a brave man and renamed himself as Dan Moroboshi, and joined the UG. Ultraseven defended Earth from countless alien invasions for an extended period of time, until he went back to the Land of Light after sustaining serious injuries and fatigue.
Ultraman Jack (ウルトラマンジャック, Urutoraman Jakku) is the fourth Ultra Warrior to arrive on Earth, debuting in Return of Ultraman. To protect the Earth from rampaging monsters and alien invaders, he becomes one with Hideki Go, who joins the defense team MAT. Jack's signature weapon is the Ultra Bracelet, which he received from Ultraseven.
Ultraman Ace (ウルトラマンAエース, Urutoraman Ēsu) is the fifth of the Ultra Brothers to arrive on Earth. He was the first, and so far, only Ultra to possess two human hosts at the same time. He arrived on Earth to guard it from the evil interdimensional entity Yapool and their many Terrible-Monsters. When Ace arrived on Earth, he merged with a man, Seiji Hokuto, and a woman, Yuko Minami. Ace is known for his many beam techniques, which earned him his subtitle.
Ultraman Taro (ウルトラマンタロウ, Urutoraman Tarō) is the titular Ultra Hero of Ultraman Taro. He is the son of Father of Ultra and Mother of Ultra, as well as the adoptive brother of Ultraman Ace. Taro was trained ever since he was a young boy, in order to become the most powerful Ultraman. Taro had merged with Kotaro Higashi to protect the Earth, but had split with him after the battle against Samekujira.
Ultraman Leo (ウルトラマンレオ, Urutoraman Reo) is the titular Ultra Hero of Ultraman Leo. Leo is an Ultra Warrior from Planet L77, which was destroyed by Alien Magma. He chased them down to Earth to get his revenge, and encountered Ultraseven, who was defeated by Magma. Leo decided to take his place as Earth's defender. Taking the identity of Gen Otori, he joins MAC, whose captain was Dan Moroboshi. After his time on Earth, Leo and his brother Astra were accepted as Ultra Brothers.
Astra (アストラ, Asutora) is the younger twin brother of Ultraman Leo and a prince of the fallen Planet L77. He came to Earth after learning that Leo had survived the destruction of their home planet and has appeared several times to assist his brother.
Ultraman 80 (ウルトラマン80エイティ, Urutoraman Eiti) is the ninth Ultra Brother and also the last live action Ultraman from the Showa era. As his human form Takeshi Yamato, 80 was a teacher at the Sakura-ga-Oka Middle School. He theorized that monsters originated from Minus Energy, which is created from the negative emotions of humans. 80 is a well known teacher from the Land of Light and was the last Ultra Warrior assigned to protect Earth in the main timeline until Ultraman Mebius' arrival in 2006.
Ultraman Hikari (ウルトラマンヒカリ, Urutoraman Hikari) is the secondary Ultra Hero of Ultraman Mebius. He was once a brilliant scientist who was the chief of the Space Science Technology Bureau of the Land of Light. At one point, Hikari became Hunter Knight Tsurugi (ハンターナイトツルギ, Hantā Naito Tsurugi) after his failed defense of the Planet Arb.
