If you tapped ‘Where were you on these dates?’ you can choose a range of dates by tapping on the ‘Start date’, then selecting the year, month and date. Select an ‘End date’ the same way.
A list of dates and locations visited between the dates will now appear. (Location details may be somewhat delayed as they are being looked up.)
Tap the ‘use same date every year’ box to select the same date for all years instead of a range of dates.
If you tapped on ‘When were you here ?’ a spot labeled ‘Type address here’ will appear.
Tap this spot and a keyboard will enable you to type in the address of you’d like. As you start typing a list of locations will appear. When you see the address you want tap on it.
A map will then appear with two buttons:
• Use for selection
• Choose another place
Tap the appropriate button. If you tapped ‘Use for selection’ a list of dates and locations will appear. (Location details may be somewhat delayed as they are being looked up.)
With the adjust address distance + or - buttons you can change the distance from the selected location for included locations.
Once a list of dates and locations has been generated by either of these methods they can be displayed in three different ways:
▪️ A Photo Gallery
▪️ A Slideshow , or
▪️ A Map
The 'Photo Gallery' is a screen showing all of the photos you've selected for your show on one page. \n\nThis allows you to quickly pick out a favourite part of the show and start a slideshow from that photo.
You may choose to see all of the photos or only the ones you have selected as favourites (in the Photos app).
A Slideshow can be presented including all the photos in your photo library taken on the selected dates or locations. Once selected, on-slide buttons lead to a variety of options including slideshow setting and advancing/ retarding the current slide. You may also choose to see all of the photos or only the ones you have selected as favourites (in the Photos app).
The show looks best on a TV using Airplay or an HDMI cable. It will then fully utilize 4K resolution if available.
Tapping the Map button presents a map of all the selected locations and the inter-connecting tracks between them. Tapping on a map pin within the map will reveal photos and details of that location. \n\nIf your selection includes more than 1000 locations map pins will not appear on the map (to avoid an extended map loading time). To recover map pins reduce the number of locations by selecting a shorter 'Where were you' date range. \n\n If your map includes several tracks that are longer than 1000 kilometres (or 600 miles) a button will appear that can remove all the longer tracks. This can be useful for removing flights and clutter from a busy map. \n\nBy selecting 'Where were you' dates it is easy to show a map for a particular trip or a map showing all your travel between two dates.
