Mouse brain vascular pericyte cell culture
My blog on Substack, Parasites to Pericytes, is a place for me to share updates, personal musings, and things I find interesting in the field of biology. Its name is a reference to the first ever lab I worked in, studying a microbe-insect endosymbiotic system, the intracellular bacterium Wolbachia in parasitoid wasps. While my research interests today (cerebrovascular and neuroimmune biology) differ greatly, I found my passion for molecular biology there, and it spurred me to pursue research further. I now study the blood-brain barrier, a vascular structure (composed partially of cells called pericytes) that helps protect the brain from external harm. I hope you'll read, follow, and enjoy!
