Private Telegram Download Guide

Ultimate Telegram Downloader is a Chrome extension for downloading videos, photos and other supported media from private and public Telegram channels and groups you can access. This guide explains how to install the extension, scan a conversation, activate your trial and save selected files.

Use Telegram Web K

Start on a computer in Chrome. Install Ultimate Telegram Downloader from the Chrome Web Store and pin it using the Extensions menu. Open Telegram Web K and sign in to your Telegram account. These instructions apply to Telegram Web K rather than the mobile or desktop Telegram app.

Open your private channel or group

Navigate to a conversation that contains the videos or files you want. You must already have access through your Telegram account. The extension does not join private groups for you or provide access to conversations you cannot view. Only download content you have permission to save.

Choose which Telegram media to scan

Click the Ultimate Telegram Downloader button in the Telegram Web toolbar. In the Scanner tab, open the media-type dropdown. Media includes photos and videos; Files and Stories are separate options. Click Scan for files to find items of the selected type. Review the results before downloading.

Register and activate your free trial

Before your first download, open the user icon in the downloader. Choose Start free trial, enter an email address you can access and click Start trial. Check your inbox for the confirmation email from Extension Trial. Open it and click Confirm email. Once confirmation is complete, return to your Telegram Web tab.

The illustrated setup guide shows a trial of up to 10 downloads for 1 day. Check the current limits and paid options in the downloader’s account screen. A free trial should not be confused with unlimited free Telegram downloads.

Select videos and download in bulk

Select the items you want from the scan results. You can choose individual files or Select all for the available selection. Click Download to start the queue. This is useful when you want to download multiple Telegram videos or photos without saving them one by one.

Manage progress and retry downloads

Use the Queue tab to see progress. Pause and resume active downloads as needed, and retry individual items that encounter an error. The product also provides organization by month. Keep Telegram Web open while using the extension.

Troubleshooting private Telegram downloads

If a scan does not find what you expect, check that you are using Telegram Web K, that the conversation is open and accessible, and that the selected scan type matches the media you want. If downloading is unavailable, confirm that email activation is complete and your trial or paid access is active. Retry a failed item from the queue or visit Support for help.
