"Escalon" is unique in that it's the main theme of a single character in the series: Shinji. The song is used in almost all of Shinji's key moments, including when he takes on Grimmjow with his Vizard mask. Shinji's role as Ichigo's mentor with his hollowfication powers is capped up perfectly with his theme that includes the Spanish influences that Bleach also uses in many of their hollow soundtracks. The soundtrack itself is a nod to Shinji's hollow abilities.

And "Invasion" is, fittingly, only ever used in completely one-sided affairs. The most iconic use of "Invasion" comes in the battle between captain Mayuri and Syazelapporo Granz, where the scientist captain unleashed his Bankai for the second time. Mayuri's Bankai was the first instance of Bankai that Bleach fans ever got to witness, and seeing it again with such a powerful theme behind it was a treat. "Invasion's" villainous sound being used for an ally of Ichigo is also a reminder that Mayuri wasn't always a good guy in Bleach.

"Clavar La Espada" is used in Bleach as an introduction to the Espada, the ten strongest members of Aizen's army. With such a ferocious enemy as the subject matter, "Clavar La Espada" delivers both in its uptempo battle theme section and its slow, ominous final seconds. Whether the song is introducing the ridiculous Yammy to Bleach or the brilliant Ulquiorra, the Espada are done justice by their signature song.

The song plays throughout much of the Soul Society arc, and is one of the most nostalgic themes due to just how often it plays. "On the Precipice of Defeat" is primarily a theme for Ichigo, and the sports that it appears in fittingly are when Ichigo is moments away from losing and is gathering the strength to move forward.

"Stand Up Be Strong" is interesting in that it has been used as a theme for both Aizen and Ichigo in the same battle. Initially in their duel, the song was Aizen's theme, appearing when he used Kido 90 - Black Coffin with a full incantation on Ichigo. Later in their epic battle, the very same song plays when Ichigo uses the Final Getsugatensho on Aizen.

While not the "number one" Bleach song ever, "Number One" is still a fantastic character theme. Commonly thought of as the main theme of Ichigo, the song's powerful female vocalist headlines one of the series' most iconic songs. 2351a5e196
