Chair
Tina has lived in Ullapool with her family for over 20 years. She currently runs TLC + Associates, a rural business consultancy and enjoys her roles as Community Engagement and Development Officer for The Garve & District Development Company. In terms of supporting young people, Tina has worked as an Assistant Youth Worker, Nursery Assistant, High School Learning Support Auxiliary, Primary School Learning Support Auxiliary and independent youth service provider. Initially, having young children growing up in Ullapool encouraged her to become involved in support services. Her children are now grown, but she still appreciates the importance of supporting youngsters and the need to provide much needed rural services.
Treasurer
Pete is currently the treasurer of the group and as such makes sure there is money in the bank to pay the rent, electricity, broadband etc. As the group has no earned income that relies on grant income from other bodies, which must be applied for directly.
Pete was a teacher at Ullapool High School for many years and lately Headteacher. He currently works as geologist with the North West Highlands UNESCO Global Geopark and holds a number of offices with voluntary groups in Lochbroom.
Sectetary
Hi, I am Karen Otter, Secretary for Ullapool and District Youth Group (UDYG). I retired in 2022 after 37 years nursing, the last 29 years as a health visitor and for the last 15 years also school nursing. Being on the committee for UDYG gives me the chance to continue to do my bit to support young people. The UDYG forum members are eloquent and confident and are the best people to tell the committee what young people need and they can look to the committee if they need our backing to get those needs met. It is a privilege to be part of this.

Trustee
I moved to Ullapool nearly 9 years ago having previously lived in Hertfordshire, England. I have three grown up kids and spent time as a classroom assistant when they were all little. I was deeply involved in our local theatre company, particularly the youth drama group.
I enjoy being a trustee for UDYG ensuring it’s vital continued support for local young people and their progression into adulthood. I hope I can be of help through the committee, to support the charity members.
