If you want the most immersive, noise-isolating audio experience with a premium build for your laptop and daily commuting, choose UliX Rider USB C; if you need a durable, bulk solution for a classroom or group setting where cost-efficiency and ease of replacement are paramount, choose YFSFQS 12.
These two products sit at opposite ends of the spectrum for USB-C audio. The UliX Rider is engineered as a high-fidelity personal device, prioritizing sound isolation, directional audio, and long-term durability for a single user who values privacy and immersion. In contrast, the YFSFQS 12 is a functional utility tool designed for volume, offering a straightforward on-ear design intended to withstand the rigors of student use and group environments without the bells and whistles of advanced audio engineering.
• UliX Rider USB C: Delivers superior sound isolation and spatial audio in a compact, in-ear metal design; trade-off is that it is sold as a single unit rather than a bulk pack.
• YFSFQS 12: Provides a robust, ready-to-go set of 12 black on-ear headphones ideal for shared spaces; trade-off is the lack of active noise control and simpler audio drivers.
• Who should buy UliX: Professionals, commuters, and audiophiles seeking deep immersion and privacy for their laptop or phone.
• Who should buy YFSFQS: Educators, parents, or organizations needing a full class set for testing or group learning activities.
The UliX Rider USB C is built for the individual who demands more from their wired connection. Unlike wireless options that suffer from battery anxiety or connectivity drops, this headphone leverages the direct digital signal of the USB-C port to deliver a consistent, zero-delay audio stream. The key differentiator here is the "in-ear" placement combined with a rounded tip made from soft materials. This design isn't just about fitting the ear; it creates a physical seal that blocks out distracting background noise. If you work in a busy coffee shop, commute on a train, or simply need to focus deeply while using your laptop, this isolation feature is non-negotiable.

The audio performance leans heavily into quality over convenience. With dynamic drivers covering a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, these earbuds are tuned for an immersive experience. You get detailed sound and spatial audio that helps you pinpoint exactly where sounds are coming from, which is critical for gaming or mixing media on a laptop. The enclosure is constructed from metal, giving it a premium feel that suggests longevity. This isn't a disposable item; the manufacturer backs it with a five-year warranty, signaling confidence in the build quality and the durability of the components.
However, this product is not for everyone. Because it relies on an in-ear design, it requires a snug fit to function correctly. If you have sensitive ears or prefer the open, airy feeling of on-ear cups, the UliX might feel too restrictive after an hour of wear. Furthermore, since it is sold as a single unit, it is not suitable for anyone trying to outfit a whole team or a classroom simultaneously. It is a personal luxury item disguised as a practical accessory, best suited for those who prioritize the integrity of their audio feed above all else.
The YFSFQS 12 takes a completely different approach by focusing on utility and scale. This is a 12-pack of wired headphones specifically marketed for bulk environments like classrooms, schools, or corporate training sessions. The design is "on-ear," meaning the cushions rest on top of your head rather than inside the canal. This makes them instantly recognizable as a school-grade product. They are designed to be put on and taken off quickly, making them ideal for standardized testing or group listening exercises where speed of distribution matters more than sonic perfection.
Durability in this context means something different than in the UliX. These are built to survive being tossed in a bag, dropped on a floor, or passed around between multiple students. The color is a utilitarian black, and the construction is straightforward. While they lack the complex driver tuning of the UliX, they offer a reliable 32-ohm impedance that works well across various devices without requiring amplification. The fact that you get twelve units in one package solves the logistical nightmare of managing individual purchases for a group.
The trade-offs are significant if you are looking for a personal listening experience. There is no noise isolation listed in the specifications, meaning external sounds will easily bleed in. The sound quality is functional but not immersive. If you are a teacher trying to ensure every student has a working pair for a computer lab test, the YFSFQS 12 is the logical choice. But if you are an individual trying to listen to music or watch a movie on your laptop, the lack of isolation and the bulky on-ear form factor might make the experience less enjoyable compared to a dedicated personal set.
• Best for Laptop Audio Quality: UliX Rider USB C offers dynamic drivers and spatial audio that create a cinematic experience for movies and games.
• Best for Bulk Purchasing: YFSFQS 12 provides a complete set of 12 units immediately, eliminating the need to buy multiple individual pairs.
• Best for Noise Isolation: UliX Rider USB C uses an in-ear seal to block out distractions, whereas YFSFQS 12 offers no noise control.
• Best for Comfort During Long Sessions: UliX Rider USB C features soft, rounded tips designed to prevent aching during extended wear.
• Best for Group Settings: YFSFQS 12 is the clear winner for classrooms or offices where many people need audio access at once.
• Best for Durability Warranty: UliX Rider USB C comes with a 5-year warranty, far exceeding the 1-year coverage of the YFSFQS 12.
• Best for Zero-Delay Calls: UliX Rider USB C is optimized for meetings with a higher-quality microphone and zero latency, unlike the standard YFSFQS design.
• Best for Open-Ear Preference: YFSFQS 12 uses an on-ear design, which some users prefer over the tight seal of in-ear buds.
For my own setup, particularly when I am using a laptop for work or entertainment, I would choose the UliX Rider USB C. The ability to isolate noise and enjoy spatial audio makes it a vastly superior companion for focused tasks. While the YFSFQS 12 is a brilliant solution for educators, it simply cannot compete on audio fidelity or comfort for personal use. The UliX feels like a piece of technology designed to enhance your daily life, not just fill a seat. If you are buying for yourself or a small team where quality matters, the UliX Rider is the only logical path forward.
Yes, both models feature a USB Type C connector and are compatible with laptops like the Dell XPS 13 and Microsoft Surface Laptop 4, provided the device has a USB-C audio port.
Absolutely. The UliX Rider is explicitly designed for meetings with a higher-quality microphone and zero-delay performance, ensuring your voice is clear without lag.
No, the YFSFQS 12 does not list any noise control features. It is an on-ear design meant for general use in quiet or controlled environments, not for isolating sound.
