Pastor Douglas Warner Jr is Lead Pastor and President / CEO for Universal Life Church Christian Ministry.
Pastor Doug is a non-denominational Christian ordained minister, who has a diverse amount of experience and knowledge. In his early years, he lived in the Metro-Detroit area, where he was brought up Lutheran, which including being baptized as an infant, confirmed at the age of 14, and married when he was 21. When he was 29, became Baptist and was baptized as an adult. Since then, like many people, he struggled with his faith in every aspect in his life, which even led to alcohol abuse, hitting rock bottom, and two divorces. Then when he was 37, after moving to a rural community, he attended University of Phoenix, where he earned his associates and bachelor's degrees in Criminal Justice Administration. He claims that some of the best classes he took during this time was studying diverse cultures and religions. It was also during this time his faith was rekindled and he started receiving his "calling" to the ministry. However, it was not he was 42 years of age when he was ready to start his life in doing God's work. After being a caregiver for multiple loved ones, he noticed a lack of clergy for visitations for the ill. Doug took this as a sign to find a way to help. This is when he became ordained at Universal Life Church. This became a legal platform where Minister Doug could offer his support, and share God's word. It was during this time Universal Life Church Christian Ministry was developed on Facebook, which has resulted in hundreds of online members, on every continent except Antarctica. Well, satan does not like it when one of the lost finds God again, and starts doing God's work. Within months of being ordained, Minister Doug started becoming mysteriously ill, ultimately developing uncontrolled seizures, which resulted him being mainly bed-bound, and unable to care for himself. Fortunately, his faith did not recede. Then in November 2017, after about three years of being ill, and another near death experience from seizures and being in the ICU, he prayed for a covenant to God that he could survive and answer the "calling" to minister. This prayer was answered, and he committed his entire life to doing God's work. Within a few months, Doug was walking without aides, within a year he was able to driving again. Pastor Doug gives 100% credit to his health and another chance at life to God. Since then, he's been on fire to do more and more. Since 2017, Doug has been Blessed to be able to Minister to hundreds of people around the world, and help countless in person, all part of God's works. Then in June, 2019 Universal Life Church Christian Ministry was corporated in Michigan, and Minister Doug was commissioned as Lead Pastor. In such a short time, ULCCM has not only grown beyond Doug's dreams and understanding, but he has also grown much closer to God. He preaches from the Holy Bible, focusing on the Gospels, bringing more and more people closer to God through the Holy Spirit. Like all of God's plans, the best is yet to come, and Pastor Doug is looking forward to being Blessed with more testimonies.
Pastor Doug has experience in the Lutheran, Baptist, First Congregational, and Church of Christ faiths. He is also familiar with the Catholic and other Christian faiths. Currently, Pastor Doug is furthering his education at Christian Leaders Institute. His professional experience include various positions of labor, including being a fire fighter, reserve police officer, personal security specialist, and vice president-elect / president at his local chamber of commerce.
