Weather UK ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application Weather UK (com.ukweather.live) collects, uses, and safeguards your information when you use our service.

Precise & Approximate Location: If you grant location permission, Weather UK collects and uses your device's geographical coordinates (latitude and longitude) solely to:
Provide accurate, real-time local weather forecasts for your current area.
Center and display live weather radar maps.
Deliver relevant atmospheric and air quality alerts.
Storage: We do not sell, rent, or store your continuous location history on external servers. Location data is processed locally on your device or sent ephemerally to weather data providers to fetch forecasts.
Optional Permission: You can choose to deny or revoke location permissions at any time via your device settings. If disabled, you can still search and select UK cities manually.
When you interact with the app, certain information is collected automatically by third-party SDKs:
Device model, manufacturer, and operating system version.

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. Google AdMob may collect and process information such as your Advertising ID, device identifiers, and location to deliver non-personalized or personalized ads (subject to your consent).
We use Google Maps to render interactive weather radar tiles and maps.
We retrieve meteorological and geocoding data from trusted public API providers (e.g., Open-Meteo, RainViewer). Only non-personally identifiable geographical coordinates are transmitted to retrieve atmospheric data.
Local Storage: Your favorite cities, customized widgets, and UI preferences are stored locally on your device using Android SharedPreferences. They are never uploaded to our external servers.
Data Retention: We do not maintain user accounts or personal databases. If you uninstall the application, all locally saved preferences and cached data are deleted.
Weather UK does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the UK/EU). If we discover that personal information from a child has been collected, we will take prompt steps to delete such data.

Access, update, or delete the information we hold about you.
Opt out of personalized advertising by resetting or limiting your Google Advertising ID in your device settings (Settings > Google > Ads).
