Squares Covid19[33741].pdf
Rounds Covid19[33742].pdf

These two documents are a collaboration between BAASDC and SDCCGB and its preparation was helped by the advice and guidance from a number of national bodies, local government and consultation with dancers and callers.

In mid-August 2020 the Government published guidelines that set out how community centres could become Covid-secure. A decision was taken to press ahead with guidelines for reopening of Rounds. Squares followed in March 2021 when the Government announced its Roadmap to remove all restrictions.

It is important to remember that these are for guidance only and that it is the responsibility of all those involved in our activity to ensure we dance in a safe Covid-secure environment. It is not an instruction to reopen, that is a decision to be made after careful consideration and preparation.

It may still be sometime before all our clubs re-open for dancing.

Return to Dancing Questionnaire

Restart Tool Note.pdf

This is a document that is linked to a Questionnaire designed to find out what dancers think about returning to dance. It is devised and circulated through Callers Club to their members. You may find it useful when reaching out to your dancers to gauge their views on when they wish to return to square and round dancing and aid your future planning. Do feel free to adapt and amend as may be appropriate to your Club.
