Intelligence (MI5, MI6)
Intelligence serves an important purpose in the UKSF. From planning and giving the go ahead to larger scale operations to handling internal and external affairs, the military intelligence branches serve a vital role in the British Army and the Special Forces. To get in to the military intelligence branches you must be selected. Only a handful of people get chosen to serve in these branches and those who are stay anonymous.
Military Intelligence, Section 5 / Security Service / MI5
Military Intelligence, Section 5 (The Security Service), is the United Kingdoms counter intelligence and security agency. The Security Service is dedicated to protect British parliamentary democracy.
Secret Intelligence Service, Section 6 / MI6
Section 6 (Secret intelligence service) is the United Kingdom's foreign intelligence service. The MI6 is responsible for collecting, analyzing and disseminating overseas information; many MI6 staff are based abroad. Core aims are to stop terrorism, disrupt activity of hostile states, and give the UK a cyber advantage.
