UK Operator Algebras Conference

12-14 June 2024

Newcastle University

Format. The majority of the conference is dedicated to shorter, contributed talks. Both the 12th and the 14th will be half days only, so that participants only need to stay in Newcastle for two nights. We particularly encourage early career researchers (PhD students and postdocs) and researchers from under-represented groups to attend, and we hope to give as many people as possible the opportunity to present their work by providing financial support to cover accommodation and train travel within the UK.

Registration fee. If you would like to attend, please complete the registration form below and pay the £30 registration fee via the webstore (note that a registration fee is mandated by our LMS funding; the fee will be used to cover the conference dinner. If you are an early career researcher, then we encourage you to ask your supervisor or home institution if they will reimburse you for the registration fee.)

Priority for early career researchers. When deciding which participants to offer funding to, we will prioritise UK-based early career researchers who want to give a talk. Other factors being equal, we will then decide on a first come first served basis. We hope to be able to provide accommodation and transportation via train for most UK-based early career researchers.
