UKKCYL Member Eligibility: As per UKKCYL by-law, one must be a Knanaya Catholic born of both Knanaya Catholic parents, between the ages of 14 to 30, unmarried, and a UK resident.
To register as a new UKKCYL member, one must meet the membership eligibility criteria. It is the responsibility of Unit Directors in liaison with unit office-bearers to ensure that the applicant meets the membership eligibility criteria.
Please download the UKKCYL Member Registration Form (Ref: UKKCYL-2020-RF) which must be filled and signed by the applicant and submitted to the unit director to successfully register as a UKKCYL unit member.
The Unit Directors must confirm that the applicant meets the requirements of UKKCYL and that their membership is verified as genuine to the best of the Director’s knowledge, and that the completed registration form is to be kept in your safe custody.
A UKKCYL unit can be formed where there is a UKKCA unit, with a minimum number of 5 Knanaya Catholic youth members who are aged between 14 and 30 years of age and unmarried. The unit would also need to have 2 directors - 1 Male Director and 1 Female Director.
To form a UKKCYL unit, a request with the completed UKKCYL Unit Registration Form (Ref: UKKCYL-2020-UR) must be emailed to ukkcyl2011@gmail.com with a copy sent to the UKKCYL National Chaplain. Once the application has been received, the National Executive Committee will submit the application to the UKKCYL National Council at the next UKKCYL National Council Meeting for approval.
Who can attend the events?
Each event has age requirements that will be specified upon release. Regardless of age, all participants must meet our Membership Criteria, which is unmarried, a UK resident (unless otherwise specified) and born to Knanaya parents who practice the Catholic faith. Some events may also allow for Knanaya Jacobites to attend.
How do you verify if someone is Knanaya?
We verify participant's names with their associated local KCYL Unit. The local Unit Committee and/or Directors must confirm that the person or persons belong to their KCYL Unit. We do this prior to each event that we do.
How can I get more involved?
We need and appreciate each and every interest to get more active within our community. Being a part of your local KCYL Unit Committee is a great place to start.
How do I stay updated on UKKCYL news and events?
