The UK and Ireland Speech (UKIS) workshop will take place at King's College London from 22nd to 23rd June 2026. We look forward to seeing you there!
UKIS aims to bring together researchers within the UK and Ireland’s Speech Science and Speech Technology community, both in academia and industry. The workshop is an opportunity to share your research in our community and to make connections and network.
You can find out more information on the UKIS website.
UKIS 2026 is organised by the Voice and Speech Processing for Health Lab and the NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) at King's College London.
The UKIS 2026 organising committee invites 1-page abstracts (PDF format) presenting either completed or ongoing research in speech science and technology, and spoken language processing. Submissions in related areas including - but not limited to - speech production and perception, and natural language processing are also welcome.
The work does not need to be entirely novel, provided it is recent. This is an opportunity to share research with the UK and Irish speech research community that has been recently presented, accepted, or in preparation for venues such as ICASSP or Interspeech.
Submissions from both academic and industrial researchers are welcome.
Abstract submission opens: 6th April
Deadline: Friday, 8th May 2026, 5pm BST
We are seeking sponsors for UKIS 2026
As the premier annual gathering of the UK and Ireland speech technology research community, this workshop offers an excellent opportunity to connect with leading researchers, emerging talent, and innovators in speech science and technology.
Sponsorship enables you to gain visibility among academics and industry professionals while supporting this important community event.
