The UK Virome Forum will bring together researchers from across the UK using genomic approaches to study viromes, with a particular focus on whole-virome analyses, viral ecology, and evolution beyond single-pathogen systems. Reflecting the diversity of viruses, sample types, and analytical approaches in the field, the meeting will cover all aspects of viromics, including laboratory techniques (PCR, extraction, metagenomic sequencing, target enrichment), diverse sample types, and associated computational analyses. The forum aims to foster connections among virome researchers in academia, industry, and government through an in-person meeting designed to encourage discussion, collaboration, and exchange of ideas. The meeting will be held over 1.5 days at the University of Glasgow, and we particularly encourage attendance from Early Career Researchers (ECRs).
