Research Objectives
Research Objectives
We believe that collaboration across different disciplines is essential to tackling complex problems in multimodal information processing and making significant contributions in this field. We aim to work collaboratively with researchers in academic community and industry from different disciplines to bring different perspectives and expertise to this research.
We seek to identify the challenges existing theories and practices in multimodal information processing, and conduct research that is scientifically rigorous, methodologically sound, and innovative. This involves using appropriate research methods, ensuring data quality, and contributing to the development of new knowledge and ideas.
Translating research into practice: We aim to translate our research findings into practical solutions that can improve the lives of individuals and communities. This involves working closely with industry, policymakers, and other stakeholders to ensure that our research is relevant, impactful, and can be translated into effective interventions and policies.
We aim to support the development of the researchers, by providing opportunities for training, visiting, and collaboration. This involves collaborating with PhD students and early-career researchers to develop their skills and knowledge, and to support their career development.
