Volunteering to walk one of our routes is a great way to get research/data collection experience! No experience is necessary, and all volunteers will be trained.  Our survey season will begin March 5th and continue until May 5th. Please fill out the form below so that you can be copied onto our email list and receive updates throughout the season.

*All volunteers must attend a Practice Walk on either 2/24 or 2/29. Sign-up sheet is located HERE

We will be meeting at the corner of W Stoughton St and N Mattews Ave.

If you are unable to attend one of the two dates, please email Sarahj7@illinois.edu and we will set up a time before the season starts or have you walk with a leader during one of the morning/evening routes once the survey period has begun.  It is crucial that you attend a practice walk before signing up for routes during the season to ensure you are knowledgeable on where exactly you need to be surveying, as well as logging data properly into the app that is utilized to collect data.

Volunteers can sign up for as many or as little routes as they want, we appreciate all the help we can get!
