Abstract Submission

1. Your abstract should be written in English only and not exceed 300 words in one paragraph.

Video Submission

1. You may present your presentation by using Powerpoint slides via recorded video (min. requirement MP4 format (encoding: H.264 for the video camera and H.263 for phone), MPEG4, AVI, WMV, FLV. The video shall not exceed 300MB. Kindly use Handbrake software to reduce the size of the video without compromising the quality. You can watch the Handbrake tutorial here.

2. Upload your 3-minute or less video presentation to the Google Drive provided. Your video must start with SIVIIC 2021 montage.

3. Each project will be assigned to a folder in Google Drive according to Project ID. The organizer will give the link in the letter of acceptance. Kindly upload your video, payment receipt, and extended abstract (optional) in the folder provided and fill in the form:

4. No additional material should be submitted as judging will be made solely based on the video.

5. Secretariat will verify the payment then upload your video to the organizer’s YouTube channel.

6. Any modification in the video, please direct your email to siviic2021@gmail.com before the video submission deadline.

Video Guidelines:

What to include in 3-minute video:

1. Name of the product/project

2. Functionality of the product

3. Benefits of the product (what kind of problem is the product able to solved)

4. All evidences such as patent application letters, papers, journals, etc. are to be presented to the judges.

5. Novelty (uniqueness) of the product

6. Content of presentation should address the judging criteria.

Judging Criteria:

Panel will be judged evaluate based on the following criteria:

1. Originality of Invention/innovation/design/idea/process/technique

2. Applicability of Invention/innovation/design/idea//process/technique

3. Commercial Potential of innovation/invention/design/idea/process/technique

4. Academic/ Intellectual Property recognition of innovation/invention/design/idea/process/technique

5. Complying with the competition theme.

The judge’s decision is final, and no disputes or appeals will be entertained.
