UIF Benefit Helper

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the UIF Benefit Helper app.

1. General Use

• The app is provided for informational purposes only.

• Calculations and guidance provided by the app are estimates and may not reflect official UIF determinations.

• Official UIF claims and decisions are made by the Department of Employment and Labour (South Africa).

• Disclaimer: This app is not affiliated with or endorsed by the South African Department of Labour. It is an independent tool designed to help users estimate UIF benefits.  For official information or to apply for UIF Benefits - please visit www.labour.gov.za 

• Our app may send you push notifications to inform you about:

• App updates, reminders, or important information related to the app’s features;

• Optional promotional or informational messages about related products or services we offer.

• You can control or disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

• We do not sell or share your notification tokens or personal information with third parties for advertising purposes.

•  We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), a service provided by Google, to deliver push notifications.
  FCM uses a unique device token to send messages to your device. This token does not directly identify you and is only used for message delivery. You can learn more about how Firebase handles data here:

• We send notifications based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by turning off notifications in your device settings.
  
  

2. Limitation of Liability

• We are not responsible for any errors, omissions, or outcomes resulting from the use of this app.

3. Intellectual Property

• All content in the app, including the UIF forms provided for download, remain the property of their respective owners.

• You may not copy, redistribute, or reverse-engineer the app.
  
  

4. Ads & Third Parties

• The app displays ads via Google AdMob.

• We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements.
  
  

5. Changes to Terms

• We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated Terms.
