A Note From Ashlee:
As of September 28, 2025, I am stepping down from my leadership role with the University Heights Women’s Walk Club (UHWWC). I am grateful for the opportunity to have founded UHWWC and to have been part of its journey. UHWWC has grown into more than just a walking club; it has become a source of light, joy, and connection for so many.
The Leadership Team will continue to guide our community and serve as the main points of contact. Please direct any questions, feedback, or support to the Leadership Team. They are the foundation to keep UHWWC going strong.
Thank you!

Hi, I'm Ashlee Baker, the founder of the University Heights Women's Walk Club. I started this group in 2023 to connect with others and make new friends in my community. It fills me with joy to run into people from the group regularly—it truly feels like a big, supportive community. I love that I can always reach out to find someone to hang out with, even outside of our events.
A fun fact: I'm a twin! I've lived in University Heights for seven years, and I'm a proud San Diego native of Filipino and Irish heritage. When I'm not organizing walks, I work as a Resource Coordinator, supporting survivors of human trafficking and sexual assault, work that I’m truly passionate about.
