Why Did You Choose This Major/Minor?

I really want to become a principal one day, in the least words possible. I love working with kids and helping them develop their skills in the classroom. I want to give children a safe and nice experience while learning, to avoid feeling discouraged for the future.

I want to minor in marketing because my previous mentor made me realize how interesting the pathway was, and I love using my creativity.

Why Do you Want to be a Mentor?

I want to be a social mentor! A mentor that a mentee can hang out with when they need a day off. A mentor that can provide an ear if a mentee needs to have advice from someone. I had amazing mentors last year that did a lot for me, so I want to do the same for my mentee! :3

How do You Feel You Would Help Your Mentee?

I would help my mentee get things off their chest! Or helping them build their confidence and persona, plus we could explore new restaurants or places and unwind after long days! 

What Advice Would you Give to An Incoming Terry?

The definitely repeated answer: you get used to it eventually. Don’t face this new journey scared because chances are, there are others feeling the same way.

Get out there and enjoy the experience while it lasts because the years go by fast. 

Go to UH events!! Meet new people. You may make new connections just by sitting next to someone at Bingo or by playing with someone at the UH arcade.

Talk to your Terry roommates and plan to do things with them, they’re another great way to be able to feel comfortable.
